Immediate Rehabilitation of the Fifth Sextant with Immediate Load
A healthy 60-year-old woman consulted us with complaints of pain in the 5th sextant. After intraoral evaluation and complementary examinations, advanced carries were identified with heavy damage to the #43 (27) and horizontal mobility throughout the sector. The patient also had aesthetic complaints and wanted a fixed solution.
The treatment planning includes extraction of all the teeth from the 5th sextant, immediate placement of 2 implants without flap opening, bone graft in all dental sockets and immediate loading with a provisional bridge adapted directly in the mouth. The zirconia-ceramic final bridge is placed 4 months post-op.
