Buccal Clinical Case
Dr. Michael Katzap (U.S.A)
Here is a case of congenitally missing maxillary laterals. The pre-op scan demonstrates a buccal plate concavity. The clinical situation did not demonstrate that, so good thing the scan was taken. Due to root proximity, I used a pilot printed drill guide. Since the following drills were versah and spinning in reverse, I was not worried about osteotomy drifting in to the roots if the pilot one was on target. A separate approach was used to graft the buccal defect. even though there are four incision, they are small and conservative. The advantage of using the Augma Biomaterials Bond apatite allowed a quick deployment of graft material, no membrane manipulation and a conservative flap.
