Augma Maxillary Rehabilitation with Locater Abutments Clinical Case

By Dr. Jose Camelo Ferreira

A 70-year-old man came to a consultation with mobility and pain in the 4 upper incisors. After carrying out the exam we found apical cysts in the 4 teeth and marked absorption of the alveolar bone resulting from an active periodontal infection. The proposed treatment consists of the extraction of the 4 teeth, removal of the cysts, regenerative alveolar bone graft, immediate placement of 3 implants and total removable prosthesis. The implants will not be charged until 6 months later. After that time, 3 Locater pillars will be placed, and the prosthesis adapted. 1.5 months later a final skeletal prosthesis without palate will be made and adapted.
