2 Phase Total Maxillary Rehabilitation with Bone Reconstruction and an All-on-6
A healthy 55-year-old woman attends the appointment with an almost total absence of maxillary teeth. After evaluation of the complementary exams, it was confirmed that there was horizontal bone loss, as well as bilateral pneumatization of the maxillary sinus. The patient was using a removable upper prosthesis and she wanted to change to a fixed rehabilitation.
The treatment plan involved a first surgery with full horizontal maxillary bone augmentation, double nasal elevation and right molar extraction. The patient will not wear any prosthesis for 2 months after which a removable prosthesis is made. Six months later the planning of the guided surgery and new surgery for the placement of 6 implants with immediate load is performed. Finally, the definitive hybrid prosthesis is made after another 6 months.
